New Berwickshire Wheels vehicles added to the fleet

In 2014 Berwickshire Wheels successfully applied to the Armed Forces Community Covenant Grant Scheme for funding to purchase a new wheelchair accessible vehicle to replace one of our older vehicles. A formal handover of the new vehicle by Major Jonny Bristow from the Royal Regiment of Scotland took place at Eyemouth Golf Club with members of the BAVS Board, volunteer drivers and some clients in attendance.

A second new wheelchair accessible vehicle was purchased in 2015 with funding from Abbey St Bathans, Bonkyl and Preston Community Fund, Lammermuir Community Fund, the Rotary Club of Duns and the Eastern Borders Inner Wheel.

These new vehicles are essential to enable Berwickshire Wheels to convey our passengers in comfort and safety in the years ahead. BAVS and the Berwickshire Wheels service would like to extend our thanks to all those who have funded these truly beneficial additions to our community transport fleet.
